A new video I shot of Dorkface this morning. There must be a little bit of catnip there because he's tripping out. We built this floor to ceiling scratching post for the cats and mounted the shelves. They love it!

Sentimental Dorkface
Sometimes, me and my special Dorkface cat share a sentimental moment. :) He's not always pullin' weird tricks or bouncin' around. Sometimes he'll just come over and simply relax in your arms. I love how he's not all bug eyed in this picture. It's a first in never.
This was taken back in 2003 when I was jobless and in need of a hug. It's nice finding cute pictures like these many years later to remind you how special your cat (or any pet) is to you.

Zen Dorkface Cat
I wish I had photographic proof. But all I have is a memory and a tale.
It was one sunny day in college and I had brought Dorkface (then a kitten) to my apartment for a weekend. (At the time, my husband --then boyfriend-- and I were living in separate places.) That afternoon, I got up to go to the kitchen and opened my door and was struck by an incredible sight all sprawled out on the floor:
Dang. There was Dorkface, arched back in a PERFECT CIRCLE and just chillin' with his TAIL IN HIS MOUTH. It was the perfect conclusion to a tail-chase. He looked so.... peaceful. lol
My girlfriends came out from the room opposite mine and also stopped to stare at him.
Friend 1: "Damn. Your cat is weird."
Me: "OMG. It's a perfect circle."
Friend 2: "I have never seen that before..."
I honestly wish I had a camera. I have never before seen this prior to or ever again. Such anomalies and miracles of life just weren't meant to be seen again. XD

Samurai Pizza Dorkface Cat!
Dorkface tried to follow Daddy to Kendo practice last week. As his Dad was about to leave, we found Dorkface nestled inside the "bogu." (A bogu is the chest/belly armor that Kendoka wear around their torso.) He seemed pretty adamant about going with.
Naturally, the following image came to mind...
SO EPIC.
